The vocalists were accompanied by Mysore Bhaskar on the violin and Manoj Shiva on the mridangam. The recital started with the Kalyani varnam and was followed by a crisp rendering of "Swaminatha Pripalayamam ' in Nattai, "Sakala Griha Bala Ninne" in Atana and " Apparamabakthi Yento , preceded by a wholesome rendering ofPantuvarali raga. " Endraikki Siva Kripai Varumo"in Mukhari put the audience under a spell, for the two voices merged in perfect unison, and the rasa bhava associated with the lyrics was so beautifully brought out. Thiruvadicharanam of Gopalakrishna Bharathi was taken up next and was handled with all the embellishments and Bhava due to it. The swaraprasthara was wholesome and was followed by the thani avartanam of the mridangist . For RTP the artists chose Hindoolam and did full justice to every aspect. In the swarar",gamalika, Arabi, Varali, Vasantha and Dharbari Kanada were featured. The Viruttam " Nadia Porul Kaikondum", taken out ofKamba Ramayana was rendered in Bilahari,Saveri and Desh, ending in the composition of T. Sankara Iyer "Ramanamame Sthuthi Maname"in Desh. Both the Viriuttam and the composition touched the hearts of the listeners. Thukkadas included Jagadhodharana , a Meera bhajan, a beautiful Thukaram Abhang and a Paras thillana.
